چکیده

A field experiment was conducted to study the comparative performance of zinc in biofortified rice and their effect on yield attributes, concentration at BAU farm, Sabour Randomized Block Design replicated thrice during Kharif season 2021-22. The variety used Aaayush. soil experimental plot silt loam having pH 7.7, organic carbon 0.53%, Low available Nitrogen (159.88 kg/ha), Phosphorus (26.94 kg P2O5/ha), Potassium (196.69 K2O/ha) initial Zn-1.0 mg/kg soil. recommended dose fertilizers i.e. 100-40-20 N- P2O5- K2O/ha applied. In addition these 25 sulphate applied as basal 0.5% foliar spray pre flowering milking stage rice. results revealed that RDF (100:40:20)+25 kg/ha basal+0.5% application best treatment recorded significantly better values for attributes (74.74 grains per panicles,270.33 panicles m2, 30.18 g test weight),higher grain (4.96 t/ha) higher (30.9 91.8mg kg-1 straw respectively) uptake Zn (153.3 ha-1) (455.2 bio fortified than alone single most other treatments. This brought out adequate followed by its two applications is approach.

Effect of Foliar Application of Phytoprotectants on Yield of Rice (Oryza sativa Cv. Shiroudi) under Drought Stress

Drought is one of the most important factors limiting crop yield and foliar application of phytoprotectants is an important management strategy for increasing crop resistance to drought stress. This research was conducted at Rice Research Station of Tonekabon, Iran, in 2018 by using a split-plot based on a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replicates. Main plots were irrigation...

Hierarchical additive effects on heterosis in rice (Oryza sativa L.)

Exploitation of heterosis in crops has contributed greatly to improvement in global food and energy production. In spite of the pervasive importance of heterosis, a complete understanding of its mechanisms has remained elusive. In this study, a small test-crossed rice population was constructed to investigate the formation mechanism of heterosis for 13 traits. The results of the relative mid-pa...

Alleviatory effects of silicon on the foliar micromorphology and anatomy of rice (Oryza sativa L.) seedlings under simulated acid rain

Silicon (Si) is a macroelement in plants. The biological effects and mitigation mechanisms of silicon under environmental stress have become hot topics. The main objectives of this study were to elucidate the roles of Si in alleviating the effects on the phenotype, micromorphology and anatomy of the leaves of rice seedlings under acid rain stress. The results indicated that the combined or sing...
